How coaching works
A clear process, measured every quarter.
Coaching should feel like good management: a plan, a rhythm, and an honest scorecard. Here's how most engagements run, from the first call through each quarter, with the details shaped around you.
The approach
The biggest obstacle is rarely not knowing what to do. It's not doing what you already know.
Coaching removes what gets in the way: unclear priorities, blind spots, old habits and a calendar run by other people. The work is reflective and results-driven, and it's a partnership. I bring structure, perspective and accountability. You bring the honesty and the effort.
Clarity
Focus on what matters
What are you really trying to accomplish?
We cut through competing demands to name the few priorities that move you and your business forward.
Awareness
See how you lead
How do you show up for the people around you?
Assessments, feedback from your team and honest reflection show your strengths, blind spots and patterns.
Accountability
Turn insight into habits
What will you do differently, and by when?
Insight only counts when it changes behavior. Commitments, a scorecard and regular follow-up make the change stick.
Growth
Build for the long run
Who do you need to become next?
Resilience, adaptability and a plan for what's next at work and at home, so results last after coaching ends.
Step by step
From first call to lasting results

Sustain and advance
Once your priorities are delivered and the systems run on their own, we set your next horizon. Some leaders take on a bigger goal. Others move to a lighter advisory rhythm and keep a trusted sounding board on call.

Assessments
Insight starts with an honest baseline
Validated assessments give us a shared language for how you work, what drives you and how you handle pressure. I'm certified in DISC through TTI Success Insights, and we debrief every report together and use it to shape your plan. Assessments are also available for leadership teams.

Inside a session
What a session looks like
Most sessions follow this shape, so the time goes to the work, not to catching up. We change it whenever you need something different.
01
Review
Commitments from last time: done, not done, and what got in the way.
02
Work the issue
The one problem that matters most this week. We work it until there's a decision.
03
Commit
Two or three specific actions, with dates, written down before we hang up.
Ground rules
What I ask of you, and what you can expect from me

- Do the work you commit to between sessions
- Tell me the real problem, not the polished one
- Measure honestly, even when the number is bad
From me
- Strict confidentiality
- Straight feedback, including what you may not want to hear
- A buyer's view of your business, from someone who sells companies
- Fast answers between sessions
Questions
Common questions
Do I need to be planning to sell my business?
No. Most clients have no plans to sell. The things that make a business valuable to a buyer, like a strong team, shared customer relationships and less dependence on the owner, also make it better to own.
How is coaching different from consulting?
A consultant gives you answers and leaves. Coaching builds your ability to find and act on the answers yourself, with structure and accountability along the way. When specialist help is needed, I'll point you to it.
Do I have to take assessments?
They're part of the standard assessment phase because they speed up the work, but we decide together which ones are useful for your goals.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is focused on goals, decisions and habits at work and at home. If something calls for a licensed professional, I'll tell you and help you find one.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us, and team conversations during the assessment are summarized without attribution.
Do you work with clients outside your area?
Yes. I coach owners and executives across the country. Most sessions happen by secure video, and we meet in person for key moments like assessment debriefs, quarterly reviews and leadership-team work.
Will my coaching look exactly like this?
Not exactly. What you see here is how most engagements run. Your priorities, pace, assessments and session rhythm are shaped around you, and we adjust as your goals change.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the format you choose. We'll cover it on the intro call, after we know whether coaching is a fit.
